Organic donations in Bavaria increase - hope for the needy is growing!

In Bavaria, organ donations are enjoying a noticeable increase this year! According to the Ministry of Health, 370 organs were donated from January to September - a pleasant increase of around 90 donations compared to the previous year. However, the Transplantation Center in Würzburg only contributed slightly to this increase, with a total of 51 donated organs, which means just one more donor than in the same period 2023.

The University Hospital Würzburg now calls for a resolution that could revolutionize organ donation: Every person would be automatic organ donor, unless he contradicts during his lifetime. This could help increase the number of available organs considerably and thus save many lives.
