Shock on the A9: truck tips over - drivers seriously injured!

In the early Thursday morning, drivers experienced a shock on the A9 at Greding: A 77-year-old truck driver lost control of his tractor-trailer at around 4.30 a.m., turned off the road on the right and overturned. In the accident, several tons of potatoes were poured onto the highway, which led to significant traffic disruptions. The driver suffered serious injuries and had to be freed from the cab from the fire brigade before he was flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter. Fortunately, other road users remained unharmed.

The highway was initially completely closed, while there were emergency services on site, but now the traffic is flowing past the scene of the accident again.
