Bayreuth Integration Conference: Diversity, discrimination & racism in focus

Integration conference in Bayreuth: Together for diversity and against discrimination

Next Wednesday, the city of Bayreuth invites all citizens to the first municipal integration conference in the new town hall. The event is all about socially relevant topics such as integration, discrimination and racism. It is about how we, as a society, can achieve freedom of discrimination together.

The integration officer Ibukun Koussemou. The conference will be opened with greetings from Mayor Thomas Ebersberger and Professor Dr. Nina Nestler from the University of Bayreuth. But it is not only talked-also cultural contributions from the stand-up comedian and moderator Hani Who ensure variety.

In the morning, guests can expect exciting lectures. Fatima Elmardiya Ahmed talks about "between integration and identity", while Professor Dr. Lorenz Narku Laing gives us an insight into how we can do diversity. In addition, Dr. Salua Nassabay presented.

In the afternoon, interactive workshops are on the program. Hamado Dipama offers practical tips for dealing with diversity and racism, while Sina Mehrdad shows us how we can recognize and understand discrimination in everyday life. According to the workshops, the results are discussed and Bettina Wurzel, Head of Integration and Inclusion of the City of Bayreuth, will speak the final words.
