New Express bus line X27: Faster from Bergedorf to Poppenbüttel!

A new, explosive targeted express bus line X27 will revolutionize the east of Hamburg on December 15th! The Hochbahn plans to transport over 3 million passengers annually on the 30 -kilometer route from Bergedorf to Poppenbüttel. On the route, which includes 33 stops, including eight brand new brands, the buses will also head for the U- and S-Bahn stations. According to Hochbahn boss Robert Henrich, the line promises enormous time savings: the trip from Bergedorf to Billstedt, for example, is shortened from 31 to only 21 minutes.

The buses initially run from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and every 20 minutes. From May 2025, they should be present on Hamburg's streets from 4 a.m. to midnight. In order to meet the increasing need, an additional 50 new drivers are hired. The new line not only ensures faster connections, but is also a strategic component to close the gaps in the traffic system, which were created by concentration of the express track lines on the city center.
