Sales car lands in the raised bed: driver remains unharmed!

In the early morning of October 28, a spectacular traffic accident occurred in the Hauptstraße / Bergstrasse roundabout in Odenthal. A 56-year-old man from Odenthal apparently suddenly lost awareness when he added to the roundabout with his off-road vehicle, a Mitsubishi with a trailer. Unexplained, he initially raced into a strip of green and finally landed in the raised bed of the roundabout, which protrudes about 50 cm above the street level. While the trailer remained on the street in a critical angle, the journey ended abruptly in the plant bed.

An attentive district service officer who heard the loud impact immediately secured the scene of the accident and informed the emergency services. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle independently and was examined by the rescue workers without determining injuries. The police estimate the property damage at around 7,000 euros.
