City of Hanover is preparing for the 37th Maschseefest

At the end of July, the long -awaited Maschsee Festival begins in Hanover. The 37th year of event of the largest sea festival in Lower Saxony is celebrated from July 31 to August 18 around Maschsee. The city is already preparing for the Maritime Open Air experience, which attracts thousands of visitors from Germany and neighboring European countries every year.

This year the organizers hope for stable weather and look forward to being able to present the festival in the usual quality. After the Maschseefest was exposed to extremely bad weather last year, everyone is looking forward to this year's hours of sunshine and looking forward to the diverse program, which will come up with live music, DJ sets and morning pint at the new Südstadt meeting point "Food Village am Geibel".

A highlight of the festival will be the exclusive offer of the tour operator "America Unlimited", which will create a relaxation area with Californian flair in the Geibel area. Visitors can relax under palm trees and have travel experts tips for the next vacation in the USA.

For gourmets, the Maschseefest is a paradise. With about 20,000 square meters of pleasure oases, the festival will delight every palate. International gastronomy from all over the world, from oriental to Hanseatic, exclusive and "on hand", takes visitors to the delights around the world.

The city of Hanover and Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH also placed special emphasis on sustainability and diversity this year. Plastic -free dishes are used and the programs are as diverse as the guests who are addressed.

The HVG, organizer of the Maschsee Festival, has also formulated a "mindfulness guide", which is intended to ensure safe and respectful coexistence on the festival. In addition, there are retreat and shelters in which those affected can be collected and looked after by discriminatory behavior.

The journey to the Maschseefest is recommended by public transport, since special bus lines are set up especially for the festival. There are also numerous bicycle parking spaces and a temporary bike path along the Rudolf-von-Bennigsen bank.

In addition to the varied program on the stages, numerous special events such as the torch swim and the duck race will also take place.
