Berlīnē-Köpenikā sestdienas vakarā tika atgūts nedzīvs policijas spēku vīrietis no Dahme. Divi policisti jau atradās uz vietas un 65 gadus veco cilvēku izkāpa no ūdens. Policija nekavējoties sākās ar reanimāciju, kuru turpināja feldšeri. Neskatoties uz visiem centieniem, neatliekamās palīdzības ārsts neilgi vēlāk varēja noteikt vīrieša nāvi. Nāves cēloni pārbauda policija. Berlīnes ugunsdzēsības brigāde atradās uz vietas ar apmēram 30 neatliekamās palīdzības dienestiem un ūdenslīdējiem, lai palīdzētu glābšanā.
Šādi traģiski notikumi diemžēl nav nekas neparasts Berlīnē, jo pilsētu šķērso daudzi ūdeņi, piemēram, Dahme, The Spree un daudzie ezeri. Īpaši vasarā berlīnieši bieži meklē atdzesēšanu ūdeņos, kas diemžēl noved pie biežiem peldvietu negadījumiem.
