The St. Marienkirche on Alexanderplatz is celebrating its 300th anniversary this year. On this occasion, five Berlin organists from July 20 to August 31 give a total of five concerts. It is particularly impressive that some of the organ pipes still come from the time of the organ. These are among the oldest church organ pipes in Berlin. Summer concerts at the castle

The Humboldt Forum offers the “ventilation” festival the opportunity to escape everyday life in the courtyard of the castle and enjoy music. Free concerts and DJ sets take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Schlüterhof until August 5th. Musicians from different continents bring their arts to the stage. On the coming Saturday, July 22nd, Soul will be presented by the Puerto-Rican-US-American artist Duendita, for example, and a week later, on July 29, the hip-hop lyrics of the Colombian-Venezolan artist Gotopo can be heard. Long night of the film festivals

In summer it is particularly nice to watch films in the open air. At the "Long Night of the Film Festival" in the Moabit cultural factory on July 28th, this will be possible. From 3 p.m. to late into the night, short and long films are shown on three screens that give an insight into the Berlin Film Festival scene. Over 20 festivals have put together a varied program together. In addition to the film program, there will also be a cartoon workshop as well as live music and street food. An ice truck even provides visitors with free ice cream.

Summer concert of the Charité Choir

On July 23, one of the summer concerts of the Charité Choir Berlin under the direction of Adrian Emanan will take place in the Moabit Reformation Church. The choir will also perform in Estonia and Latvia as part of its subsequent tour. The Baltic States is thematically and artistically a focus of the concerts. Baltic and German songs are presented at the kick-off in Moabit, including works by Pēteris Vasks, Cyrillus Kreek and Robert Schumann. The concert starts at 6 p.m. at Beusselstraße 35.

performance in the monastery ruins

As part of the current exhibition "Out of Season" by the artist Shirin Sabahi, a special event will take place in the monastery ruins on Thursday, July 20, at 7 p.m. Under the title "Garden Play", the artists Bela Shayevich and Kristijonas Bartkus invite you to a performative reading in Klosterstraße 73a. Sabahi's works of art, including flower sculptures and a fountain, become part of a story about love. The event is free and takes place in English.
