Telekom has tackled vigorously in the past two months and raised the mobile phone supply to a new level. With the extensions of an LTE and a 5G location, not only the network coverage in the region is significantly improved, but the bandwidth also increases to unknown heights!

Where can these new mobile mirrors be found? The municipalities of Altenberg and Schöna benefit directly from these developments. Especially in Schöna, the supply along the popular Leipzig-Dresden railway line is now optimized. For commuters and travelers, this means: fewer radio spots and more network power while driving!

"The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion," emphasizes Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom. Telekom now has a total of 127 locations in the company in the Saxon Switzerland-Easternzgebirge district, the household cover is an impressive 98 percent! And that's not all: by 2026, Telekom plans to add another 61 locations and to carry out deliveries from LTE or 5G at 58 existing radio masts. There is still a lot to come towards the region!
