Drunk driving with stolen truck: the police grab fleeting drivers!

In a dramatic incident on the night of Sunday, September 29, 2024, a 24-year-old Poland was stopped by the police on the B105 near Mönchhagen after noticed by his snake-like driving style. The truck driver initially tried to flee, gone several police vehicles, but was finally stopped and arrested on the L39 at the motorway bridge between Waldeck and Dummerstorf by several emergency vehicles.

During the check, it turned out that the driver was under the influence of exhilarating means and had no valid driving license. It was also known that the tractor, the value of which is estimated at around 110,000 euros, was previously stolen from a warehouse in Bentwisch. While the driver is custody and an arrest warrant against him was issued, the second stolen vehicle and its driver are still on the run. The Rostock criminal police take over the investigation while the presumption of innocence applies.
