The fatal doctor: Investigators chase other serial offenders in Berlin!

A shocking case shakes German society. The palliative doctor Johannes M. (40) has been in custody since August after being suspected of having killed at least eight of his patients in Berlin. The investigators accuse him of killing his victims by administering a fatal medication cocktail. The cruel deeds were apparently committed between January and June 2024, whereby after the murder he also set fire to the apartments of his victims to blur his traces. According to bz-berlin.de , the number of dead could even be higher, since over 40 other deceased were identified as possible victims. Sebastian Büchner, spokesman for the public prosecutor's office, said that the evaluation of the patient files has not yet been completed and that further cases cannot be excluded.

uncanny dissertation and double life

Johannes M. has opened an eerie chapter in his career. His dissertation at the Frankfurt Goethe University from 2012 is entitled "Billing offenses in Frankfurt/Main: An overview from 1945 to 2008", and contains terrifying topics about murder and homicide, especially for the elderly. The dissertation, which according to fnp.de "the victims and their relatives", raises questions about the psychological mechanisms that did the act. The doctor, who previously worked in several Frankfurt hospitals and was considered competent, had made a change of location to Berlin, where he worked as a palliative doctor.

Two of his alleged victims have already been exhumed, which dramatically reinforces the emotional stress for relatives. The investigation is reminiscent of the case of the serial killer Niels Högel, who also committed several murders as a caregiver in the past. Now the hope for clarification in the files that have to be continued thoroughly.
