The two-star chef Peter Maria Schnurr convers Berlin!

The renowned two-star chef Peter Maria Schnurr returns to Berlin and will take over the tax in the first-class restaurant "Golvet" at Potsdamer Platz from January 29, 2025. This significant step follows the sudden end of his career in the "Falco" in Leipzig, where Schnurr worked as a chef for 18 years until he was released in November 2023 due to operational problems. The loss of the "Falco", which was one of the best restaurants in East Germany, left a vacuum in the gastronomic landscape. The closure was justified, among other things, with the increased personnel costs and the challenges of the market, such as lvz.de reported

a new beginning in the "Golvet"

In the "Golvet" Schnurr will lead an 18-member kitchen team and has already announced that his personal signature dish, the "Langoustine Annika Maria", will be added to the menu. This delicate court, which he created to the birth of his daughter, consists of exquisite ingredients such as long punches, bacon, caviar and apple strips. Thorsten Schermall, the owner of the "Golvet", was enthusiastic about Schnurr's commitment: "With him we hired a top chef who has experience and passion," noted Schermall, as well as bz-berlin.de reported.

Peters return to Berlin is no accident. Before his work in Falco, he already left culinary traces in various other restaurants in the capital. He is also known to a wide audience of participating in popular TV cooking shows, such as "Kitchen Impossible". His change is accompanied by the expectation that the "Golvet" could possibly strive for a second Michelin star after it has already been recognized for the outstanding quality of its kitchen.
