Discover the Wilmersdorf mosque: City Walk on October 26th!

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Museum invites you to two city walks under the motto "Between tradition and modernity. The Wilmersdorf mosque and its architectural neighbors". The tours take place at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and offer a fascinating exploration of the religious and architecturally multi -layered neighborhood between Fehrbelliner Platz and Brienner Straße. The focus is on the Wilmersdorf mosque, which was built in 1924 and is considered the oldest, still existing mosque in Germany. Visitors receive exclusive insights into the historical background and the interior of the mosque.

Participation in the approximately 60-minute leadership is free, but the event is not barrier-free. Interested parties are asked to register for one of the two tours in advance. Spontaneous participation is possible depending on the group size. Further details on the exhibition "Open House. A hundred-year-old mosque in Berlin" and the accompanying program can be found on the museum's website www.villa-penheim-berlin.de .
