Exhibition I Only Work with Lost and Found : Art in dialogue with the memory
Preliminary summary for the exhibition "I Only Work with Lost and Found - Goldrausch 2024"
From August 31 to November 3, 2024, the Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien opens its doors for the well -respected exhibition "I Only Work with Lost and Found". This event presents the works of 15 talented artists as part of the Goldrausch artist project. The opening will take place on August 30, 2024 from 5 p.m., accompanied by the district mayor Clara Herrmann and other personalities.
The importance of this exhibition lies not only in the creativity of the exhibited work, but also in dealing with deep topics such as memory, identity and the relevance of finding it in the artistic creative process. The choice of the title "Lost and Found" reflects both the loss and rediscovery of creative opportunities that enable artists to deal with hidden knowledge.
A central aspect of the exhibition is dealing with the material found and its stories. These approaches have far -reaching implications for the community, as they encourage them to think about their own history and the cultural heritage. In the work, the bow is beaten between aesthetic experiments and critical reflections on social and political issues.
Numerous events are already planned for the accompanying program. On September 19, 29.09. and 13.10. performances and exhibition tours are offered that further promote interactivity and conversation between artists and visitor. This commitment shows how art serves as a platform for exchange and also challenges activist strategies in the art field.
The commitment of Clara Herrmann and other representatives of the community reflects the support that the local culture and art scene can experience. This exhibition is not only a window to the creative variety of Berlin, but also a call to think about our connections to the past and to find the courage to explore new perspectives in the future. Entry to the exhibition is free, which enables broad access to contemporary art.
