Ikea remains e-car hotspot: free charging current in Lichtenberg!

The electricity prices on the public charging stations in Berlin rise, which brings electric car drivers into a critical location. As the Berliner Zeitung reported, the prices for one kilowatt hour at Normalladestatations have been on average at 54 Cent increases, while the quick charging stations cost 64 cents. This means a decrease compared to previous years, when prices were still about 52 cents and 63 cents. Despite the sunken electricity prices in the household, the electric car driver remains the loser of the energy crisis.

In addition to these price increases, local public transport in Berlin is also more expensive. From January 2025, passengers have to dig deep into their pockets, as the tariffs of the Berlin-Brandenburg Transport Association (VBB) increase by an average of 7.5 percent. A single ticket in the tariff area will then cost 3.80 euros, and the four-trip card increases to 10.80 euros. This was decided to cover the persistently high costs for fuels and staff, such as Berliner Zeitung
