Berlin, Deutschland - The Jazz Prize Berlin 2025 goes to the renowned saxophonists and clarinetists Tobias Delius. Tobias Delius: A life for jazz
Tobias Delius was born in Nordland and Bochum and spent his early years with initial musical experiences in Mexico during the 1980s. After studying in Amsterdam, he founded his own quartet and joined the renowned Instant Composer's Pool Orchestra (ICP). In 2007 Delius moved to Berlin, where he actively played in various formations and worked with well -known musicians such as Christian Lillinger, Axel Dörner, Rieko Okuda and Alexander von Schlippenbach.
