Young people attack Späti in Reinickendorf - employee defends himself!

In the night of Thursday there was a suspected robbery on a late purchase in Residenzstraße in Reinickendorf. Around 1:10 a.m., two young people first entered the shop and looked around before they left it again. Shortly afterwards, two masked accomplices returned with one of the young people and threatened the 54-year-old employee with knives to demand cash, such as B.Z. Berlin and Berliner Zeitung reported.

But the brave employee defended himself with an irritant gass spray and was able to successfully flee the perpetrators. Although he was slightly injured, he did not need medical treatment. Following the attack, the police arrested four young people nearby who were already known to the police: including three 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old. These were taken into police custody and transferred to the specialist commissioner of Police Directorate 3 (East) for further investigation.

The suspects are to be brought before a investigative judge on Friday who will decide whether arrest warrants will be issued against them. This incident is another example of the increasing willingness to violence among young people in the city. The police have already started their investigations to clarify the background of the raid.
