Old photographs by Marion Klemp, Martina Kaiser and Waltraud Grubitzsch tell stories from a past time, while the works of Katja Jandrijasevic face them in an exciting dialogue. Until the 13. November 2024 invites the exhibition to discover daily from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Here visitors can experience the multi -layered facets of a life full of emotions and challenges in the GDR, presented through unique photographs and color worlds.

In order to make the exhibition more lively, an exciting supporting program is offered! On Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. there will be a gripping artist conversation. Art historian and publicist Dr. Markus Becker leads through the evening, while the talented photographers Marion Klemp and Waltraud Grubitzsch and the talented painter Katja Jandrijasevic share their creative thoughts and personal experiences. A must for all art lovers!
In addition: In a solemn commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. the DEFA feature film "Das Bahrrad" from 1982 will be shown. The film scientist Irina Vogt will present this special women's film, which was originally strongly criticized, but is now considered one of the most authentic everyday films of the 1980s. An event that will take the audience on a nostalgic journey!

And as the crowning glory of the exhibition on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. , Heike Betzwieser, the chair of the Gallery GDR photo heir, will keep an inspiring final speech.
