Last Saturday, September 28, 2024, the “Zeus” training project was officially started in the town hall of Lichtenberg. Under the direction of district mayor Martin Schaefer, the project is to train certified volunteer support forces in population protection. The goal is to qualify citizens for disaster and population protection so that they can support the Berlin authorities in an emergency.

The "Zeus program" includes training on first aid measures, practical skills at operations, dealing with communication means and the tasks at the district emergency meeting points.
