Fairytale Christmas reading with Inés Bartel and Sonny Thet in the district central library Marzahn-Hellersdorf

On December 6, 2023, a musical Christmas reading for young and old will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the district central library "Mark Twain" in Berlin. The event entitled "J.R.R. Tolkien: Letters from Santa Claus" is presented by Inés Bartel and Sonny Thet and promises to become a fun and musical mood for the holidays.

J.R.R. Tolkien, one of the most respected philologists worldwide and author of the legendary Lord of the Rings, is shown in the letters from Santa Claus from his most cozy side. The stories were invented for his children and every year in December they received handwritten letters and colored drawings from the North Pole. Inés Bartel will bring some of these stories to life, accompanied by pictures and the music of Sonny Thet. Admission to the event is free, but there is a donation to the Förderverein Stadtbibliothek Marzahn-Hellersdorf e.V. for co-financing the events. SONNY THET and his cello promise a merged performance of Asian and European music traditions, which are expressed in wonderful new creatures of absolute uniqueness. Cooperation with the Bayon group and its popularity as a guest in the library underline the quality of its musical performances.
