Multicultural concert series on Leopoldplatz: music, readings and encounters!
The Café Leo am Leopoldplatz in Berlin Mitte will become a hotspot of cultural diversity in the period from September 3 to October 8, 2024. Under the patronage of the district mayor Stefanie Remlinger, six duo concerts and readings are presented, which make the boundaries between different music styles and cultural backgrounds blur.
a new cooperation through music and literature
This series of events on the Tuesday afternoons in Café Leo not only promises musical highlights, but also inspiring readings that deal with the moving history of Berlin and the Weddings. Musicians and readers from different countries bring something new and unique to Leopoldplatz and thus create a platform for living integration and cultural exchange.
invitation to the cultural experience
The concerts are free and take place in the open air to give all people who are on Leopoldplatz the opportunity to take part. This series of events is made possible and supported by the initiative of the Mitte district of Berlin as part of the Berlin Security Summit.
variety and encounters
The music and readings should help to establish Leopoldplatz as a place of encounter and cultural exchange. The program is initiated and accompanied by Wendzeunkt GmbH, which, in addition to the management of the Café Leo, is also committed to numerous social projects.
The curator of the series of events is the talented musician and composer Tilmann Dehnhard, who artistically supervises the concerts and readings.
The starting signal for this cultural trip is given on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, with appearances by Mohamad Fityan on Nay and Matthias Kurth on the guitar. The varied program continues and offers a wide range of performances by talented artists and readers by October 8, 2024.
A special cultural experience awaits everyone interested in Leopoldplatz to celebrate a coexistence of cultures together and to discover the diverse world of music and literature.
