Ceremonial awarding of the Neukölln art prize on February 16, 2024
Next Friday, February 16, 2024, the ceremonial award ceremony of the Neuköllner Art Award will take place in the home port of Neukölln. The City Councilor Karin Korte will honor the nominated honor, who will present her works in a group exhibition. Neukölln is considered a lively and significant location of the current art scene, which is recognized by the annual award of the art prize. A specialist jury has seven artists: In the inside who live or work in Neukölln and have the chance to win the art prize endowed with a total of 6,000 euros. The award ceremony is accompanied by a group exhibition that offers visitors an authentic insight into the diversity and quality of the works of the Neukölln artists: inside.
This year more than 130 artists have advertised: Inside for the art prize, which shows how alive and diverse the art scene is in Neukölln. The Neuköllner Kunst Prize is a cooperation between the Culture Department with the Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln e.V. and is supported ideally and financially by the city and country Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH.
The award ceremony is carried out by a specialist jury that consists of people such as the management of the municipal galleries Neukölln, the festival management 48 hours Neukölln and various artists: inside. The nominees have the chance to win prices worth 3,000 euros, 2,000 euros and 1,000 euros, as well as a purchase price of the city and state residential building company mbh.
