Alarming statistics make it clear that if children and adolescents are always punishable, this is often a call for help from a broken system! In Neukölln, the committed team of Youth Delinquence, originally known as "AG Child and Youth Crime", has worked tirelessly to support criminal young people and their families in the past seven years. This important use is only possible thanks to a solid network of youth welfare, schools, police and judiciary. And the recipe for success from Neukölln should now go to school all over Berlin - this is a direct result of the "summit against youth violence"!

The latest update of this meaningful initiative, the Neukölln action concept 2.0 for integrative help and interventions , is ready to set the course for positive changes! Micro management is now very important-coordinated and early support measures are to be achieved faster in particular of families of young people who have become delinquent between 10 and 17 years. The aim is to drastically reduce the number of young people, which is often delinquent and reduce the severity of the offenses.

Sarah Nagel, the youth councilor, expresses: "After years of successful work, an update was necessary to describe the way of working current and precisely. In recent years, 165 children and adolescents have been looked after in Neukölln - an impressive success, because in 90.2 % of the cases completed, a positive balance in terms of impunity and future prospects could be drawn. Of 133 treatments, 120 ended successfully! Even if 13 collaborations were canceled, the team of four of the youth welfare office with currently 32 supervised children provides valuable statistics that encourage thought.

Clear agreements and a lively exchange of information are intended to ensure that all of the strength involved draws in the same direction.
