Today, on the occasion of the international day against homophobia, transthobia, biphobia and interphobia, the rainbow flag was hoisted in front of the town hall Spandau in order to set a strong sign of solidarity. District Mayor Frank Werbig and District City Councilor for Social Affairs and Citizens' Services Gregor Kempert jointly carried out the hoist of the flag. This day, also known as Idahobit, is celebrated worldwide on May 17th to draw attention to the rights of LGBTQAI+person and to combat discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
