Offensive Solidarity: IG Metall District Berlin-Brandenburg-Saxony Empower Workers

The union summer of IG Metall District Berlin-Brandenburg-Sachsen was under the motto "offensive solidarity" this year. Colleagues and volunteers met at the IG Metall Bildungszentrum on Pichelssee to exchange their experiences in trade union work and develop strategies in order to strengthen the presence in the companies.

A central discussion revolved around the union's impact and mobilization ability. It was about how to effectively represent and enforce the interests of employees. It was emphasized that solidarity and cohesion are important cornerstones for the success of trade union actions.

The participants took the opportunity to put what they learned directly into practice in the seminar. Together, operational actions were organized in various companies in Berlin to support and make the concerns of the employees visible.

The event was not only an opportunity to exchange ideas, but also a clear signal to the employer: IG Metall is closed and determined behind the employees to protect their rights and interests. The trade union summer was therefore an important step to strengthen the position of IG Metall in the region and to promote solidarity among employees.
