Urgent call: Become election workers for the European elections 2024!

On June 9, 2024, the European elections will take place and the district election office Tempelhof-Schöneberg urgently calls for volunteers, especially for the southern districts of Mariendorf, Marienfelde and Lichtenrade. Matthias Steuckardt, deputy district mayor, emphasizes the importance of free and secret elections for democracy, also at European level. Interested parties receive a refreshment allowance and possibly a free time compensation for their use.

The European elections are crucial for the political future of Europe and the preservation of democratic principles. With their voluntary work, committed citizens contribute to the fact that the elections run fair and transparently. Especially in polling stations in the southern districts of Berlin, election helpers are still being sought to ensure that the election runs smoothly.

Historically, Berlin Tempelhof-Schöneberg was an important electoral district with an active political scene. The citizens of this district have repeatedly shown that they are interested in democratic processes and are willing to take responsibility.

A fully completed and signed standby declaration is required for registration as an election worker, which can be found on the website of the district office. If you have any questions, the Tempelhof-Schöneberg election office is available by post, telephone, fax or email.
