50. Intercultural week 2024: Invitation to participate!

The 50th intercultural week (IKW) 2023 is under the motto #Neuen and takes place from September 22nd. until September 29, 2024. The “Refugee Day” will be celebrated this year on September 27, 2024. The aim is to commit to peaceful coexistence and against group -related misanthropy. Various contributions are planned in the Treptow-Köpenick district to achieve this goal.

To prepare an event overview, contributions to events are searched until 09.08.2024. Interested parties can submit their suggestions with information on the event title, a brief description, information on accessibility, venue and time as well as information about the organizer at integration@ba-tk.berlin.de or use the online form.

The intercultural week is initiated and coordinated throughout Germany through the ecumenical preparation committee for the intercultural week (ÖVA). A brief explanatory film is available for interested parties who do not yet want to know the IKW or to bring them closer to others.

It is an opportunity to actively get involved in integration and intercultural exchange and to strengthen solidarity together. Events as part of the IKW offer a platform to bring people of different origins together and to promote intercultural dialogue. With diverse contributions and activities, everyone can contribute to an open and tolerant society.

In recent years, events as part of the IMK have contributed to strengthening awareness of cultural diversity and mutual respect. Due to the multitude of events and activities, the intercultural week becomes an important part of social life in Treptow-Köpenick and beyond.
