Action week in Treptow-Köpenick: Together against violence against women

From November 18 to 25, 2024, Treptow-Köpenick will become the stage of an impressive week of action that sets a strong sign against violence against women and girls. Under the motto "strong together - for a life without violence", the district equal opportunities officer Maria Koch mobilizes numerous women's projects and advice centers to bring the topic to the surface!

The start is on 18. November 2024 in the lively halls of the shopping center Schöneweide . At 3:00 p.m. , the committed district councilor Dr. Claudia Leistner the event with a passionate contribution. She will not only keep the opening speech, but also set the stage for a gripping dance performance and a quiet vigil for the victims of female. A moving moment that will touch the hearts of those present!

"Domestic violence is not a private matter and not a relationship drama - they are destroyed," so demands Dr. Leistner urgently. Your call to act is clear: "We have to start looking, to give those affected to believe and to use any form of violence." This week of action is more than just awareness - it is a struggle for justice and help. Numerous organizations, including the women's center Treptow-Köpenick and the Services Gegweiser, will be present to get into conversation with the visitors and to put the dark reality of violence against women in the light.
