Honor of the Warsaw Uprising: Young people figure impressive mural in Treptow-Köpenick

new wall art honors the Warsaw uprising after 80 years

A new mural created by young people under the direction of the talented artist Maria Michoń was recently inaugurated. This special project is part of the close partnership between the Mokotów district in Warsaw and the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpenick and was realized with the support of the German-Polish Society.

District Mayor Oliver Igel praised the commitment and importance of the project in his speech. He emphasized the values ​​of peace and democratic principles that form the basis of our European ideal and are strengthened by such partnership activities.

The magnificent mural now adorns the building of Groß-Berlin Damm 154 and serves as a visible honor for the brave insurgents of Warsaw, who fought courageously for their freedom 80 years ago. Two informative information boards on site offer visitors a closer explanation of the impressive artistic presentation.
