Gun in Berlin bar: man threatens guests and escapes from the police!

in Neukölln, Berlin, there was recently a shocking incident in a bar that dramatically disturbed the cosiness of a normally unscathed evening. A 37-year-old man got into a dangerous situation in Sonnenallee during his stay in a bar. According to the investigation, he entered a bar at around 1 a.m. where he spoke to an unknown person in a beer. Unnoticed by other guests, he handled with a weapon in his hand during this conversation. This was later confirmed by video recordings, such as Berlin Live reported.

The situation escalated when the suspect left the bar and stepped onto the opposite side of the street in front of a café, where he spoke to another man. Suddenly the perpetrator began to call loudly: "Now you die!" While he was waving with the gun. Before the upcoming confrontation, however, he succeeded in withdrawing when the weapon was not fired due to loading inhibition. Immediately alarmed emergency services were able to arrest him a little later on the corner of Mareschstrasse and Brusendorfer Straße, where the firearm was secured in a nearby trash can. It turned out that it was a sharp weapon. A breath alcohol test showed that the man had 2.5 per thousand in his blood, which only reinforced the confusion and danger of the situation.

Investigations in the course

The crime and the exact intentions of the man are currently still unclear and part of the ongoing investigations. It also remains unclear who was endangered by the threat. However, what is certain is the fact that a possible tragedy was only prevented by happiness that the weapon did not work. Such incidents raise questions that go beyond the immediate shock and affect the feeling of security in public spaces.
