All the beautiful: play about life, hope and grief in Biberach

The examination of the sensitive topic of suicide is becoming increasingly important in Biberach. On the occasion of the world day of suicide prevention, the city has organized a wide range of events in recent weeks that do both work and promote exchange. These initiatives are crucial for the awareness of the population and the support of those affected and their relatives.

artistic approaches to coping with suicide topics

On September 14th at 7pm, the play "All Beautiful" will be performed, which is presented in the St. Martin parish hall. Interpreted by Peter Blum, the boundaries between the actor and the audience, in which the latter is actively involved in certain places. Although the piece deals with serious topics such as suicidality, the co -organizer Susanne Barth from Agus emphasizes that it represents "a piece for life". It addresses the relationship of a mother at risk of suicide with her son and his attempts to find joy in life.

online training to support grieving

In order to improve mourning support, online training for psychotherapists and interested parties will be offered on September 12th at 2 p.m. This event aims to impart strategies to better support people who mourn for suicide. Martha Wahl, specialist in psychiatry, emphasizes that grief is often incorrectly classified as depression, which can lead to insufficient support for those affected.

Sale of wood artificial works with positive messages

In addition to the theater performances and advanced training courses, volunteer peer consultants from U25 are involved by creating positive messages on wooden plates together with the artist Daschu. For the public, an exhibition will be held on October 12th in the Caritas house, whereby the works of art may be offered for sale. These artistic projects contribute to the positive perception of the topic of suicide and help to promote discourse.

film evening as a platform for the exchange

Another important part of the initiative is the film evening on the subject of suicide, which takes place on September 17th at 6 p.m. in the Catholic Community Center Bad Schussenried. The film "The last nice day" is sensitive to the topic and, after the demonstration, offers the opportunity to talk to experts, which promotes dialogue and exchange.

These events in Biberach are not only a sign of the commitment of the community for an often taboo topic, but also a step towards a better understanding and support of people in crisis situations. The combination of art, education and direct support offers the community the opportunity to actively deal with the topic and to contribute to the horror of suicide and mental illnesses.
