Bread Art: Balkan back art conquers the B 311 in Uningen
The new bakery "Brot Art", which was opened on August 2 on the B 311, quickly established itself in the region. Founded by Sadri Leniqi, a native Kosovar with comprehensive experience in baking art, business not only offers traditional baked goods such as croissants and apple strudel, but also specialties from the Balkans that are rarely found in this form.
A Turkish-Balkans Back experience
Leniqi would like to bring a piece of his homeland to the German bakery landscape with its offer, which also includes Börek and Tollumb. "Börek combines many with Turkey, but it is also something that is popular throughout the Balkans," explains the boss. This merger shows how the culinary heritage combines different cultures.
The influence of the local community
"Bread Art" is not only a place for eating, but also a meeting point for the community. Four members of the Leniqi family work in the bakery, and the atmosphere should be inviting, both inside and outside. "It is important to me that people linger here, exchange ideas and enjoy the fresh products," says Leniqi. This social component underlines the value of local businesses in the community.
Engagement for quality and freshness
A characteristic of "bread art" is the use of freshness instead of sourdough, since Leniqi has determined that the latter is more difficult in the stomach. In addition, the ingredients used are regionally related: flour made from Munderkingen and meat from quantities. "We make everything ourselves, apart from the cakes," explains Leniqi and highlights the importance of freshness and quality.
Challenge by discounter
Sadri Leniqi sees the big discounter as his main competition and is aware of the challenges that a small company has to deal with. "These large chains set the prices so low that it is difficult for us to pass. Our goal is to offer high quality, handmade products," he says. Through this approach, it relies on a phase change in consumer behavior where more people value local products.
"Bread Art" is open from Monday to Saturday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. With fresh offers and a connection to the cultural diversity, the bakery would like to take an important place in the local community.
