Mayor Graf: Flood protection - immediate aid for those affected now!

Mayor Heiko Graf von Ummendorf recently informed that the new calculation models are progressing for flood protection, but a quick solution is unrealistic. The municipality plans an immediate program under the motto "Help for self -help" for affected citizens to support individual measures. "Personal protection remains important," emphasizes Graf, since the community cannot carry provision for all conceivable weather situations.

The funding program is aimed at owners who have been affected by river floods and heavy rain in recent years. Measures such as increasing accesses, accesses and light shafts as well as the installation of pressure -tight doors and windows are funded. However, measures against penetrating groundwater are not eligible. Every need must be checked individually, and applications for measures implemented according to June 1 are possible by the end of March 2025.
