Successful fire brigade exhibition in Biberach: enthusiasm in the city

Successful special exhibition attracts guests

The Biberach Museum is looking forward to a lively influx since the special exhibition on the fire brigade anniversary in May. According to museum director Frank Brunecker, over 5000 visitors have already seen the exhibition. "To exceed the 10,000 mark until the end of the exhibition in mid-October is quite realistic," he said optimistically about the further course of the exhibition.

Interest of the younger generation arouse

The exhibition is aimed at all age groups, which also highlights fire brigade commander Florian Retsch. He in particular hopes that many students attend the exhibition and possibly find their way to the youth fire brigade. The youth fire brigade currently has 42 members, but Retsch wishes that the number will continue to increase. "It is welcome to be more," he emphasizes.

Special attractions and interactive elements

A unique feature of the exhibition is the possibility for visitors to slip into the operational clothing of the active firefighters and the youth fire brigade. This interactive experience helps to develop a deeper understanding of the work of the fire brigade. In addition, the supporting program is enriched by special tours in which historical vehicles from the fire brigade are also presented. "We have three ready -to -drive classic cars in the portfolio, including a fire -fighting vehicle from 1938 of the Opel Blitz brand," explains Retsch.

insight into the tradition of the fire brigade

The Biberach fire brigade has a long tradition, and Retsch is aware of how important it is to preserve this story. "We are always offered old vehicles or equipment for sale," he explains. However, whether purchases are made depends on various factors, such as the price and state of the objects.

impressive educational experience for children

In order to promote children's interest in the fire brigade, Lisa Lütjens-Kresse, who is responsible for the museum transfer, has created an active arch. This enables children to playfully explore the exhibition and solve various tasks. If you successfully master the challenges, you will get a small price at the information gauge, which makes the experience even more rewarded.

With this comprehensive program design and the appealing offers, the fire brigade not only shows its commitment to tradition, but also for the future and the formation of the next generation.
