Experience the Upper Swabian Baroque Road: audio tours from 2026!

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Upper Swabian Baroque Straße in 2026, Oberschwaben Tourismus GmbH (OTG) plans to introduce exciting audio tours. These are supposed to bring the stories closer to visitors behind the impressive buildings and network the Baroque Road even more. At the recent meeting of the Ochsenhausen municipal council, Kathrin Käppeler, head of the cultural office, reported that the OTG included the city in the project to "revive" Baroque Straße. The Lauschtour company will implement the audio tours that are already successful in other cities in the region.

The tours should take visitors to informative tours through journalistically researched mini reports. "Lumps" are planned at sights such as the monastery and in the city center, which are linked to QR codes. In this way, the participants can hear exciting anecdotes from "Ochsenhauser originals" and explore the city individually. The city has also applied for funding to reduce the costs of EUR 15,148.05. Up to 60 percent of the costs could be borne in the event of a permit. The local council already voted for participation in the project, regardless of the funding commitment.
