Hubert Hagel: Biberach Elder Statesman honored with heart and passion

Hubert Hagel was honored on Tuesday evening in the Gigelberghalle with the citizens' medal, the second highest award of the city of Biberach. In his emotional acceptance speech, hail revealed that the honor touched him deeply while the guests paid him long -lasting applause. From 2004 to 2022 he was a member of the CDU parliamentary group in the local council and from 2012 to 2020 acted as the first volunteer deputy of the mayor. Mayor Norbert Zeidler emphasized Hagel's weight and authority in the council and called him an "Elder Statesman" for Biberach.

Hagel's commitment goes far beyond politics: He was active in various board positions of TG Biberach for over 30 years, where he found numerous sports departments and initiated events such as the city run.
