Art in the sawmill: 8000 visitors celebrate regional craft
In the picturesque Seelenwald, a traditional sawmill turned into a creative center when around 8000 visitors visited this year's hobby art exhibition "Art in the sawmill". The event took place for the 14th time and not only attracted attention, but also offers a special insight into the artistic talent of the region. Almost 100 exhibitors presented their work for two days and delighted the audience with a variety of works of art.
The redesign of the factory hall was impressive. On Friday evening, the room, which normally devotes itself to wood and sawmill technology, was converted into a gallery with a lot of effort. Under the direction of Erich Reichert, the former operator of the sawmill, tables and tables from wooden stacks were prepared to enable the exhibitors to present their works. The impressive area of around 2000 square meters was thus transformed into an Eldorado for art lovers.
Diversity of the works of art
The exhibition offered a wide range of art forms. From pottery and jewelry to floristry to filigree manual work - the diversity was overwhelming. Among them were also exceptional woodwork, which inspired visitors. The wooden sculptures of the carvers and woodworkers in particular showed the creativity and skills of the creators. A highlight was the fog hand of the Buchauer carver Heinz Steinacher, which attracted the eyes.
The dexterity of the artists also fascinated, especially when visitors had the opportunity to look over the shoulder of the coin saw Rudolf Baur. Baur, a true master of his field, made impressive works of art from former 5-mark pieces. His sawn -in eagle was not only shaped by technical precision, but also by an aesthetic attraction that was worth the inspection.
Engagement of the Community
But the art was not the only attraction of the exhibition. While the parents admired the works of art, the Dürmentinger Bähnle chugged with happy children as passengers through the exhibition. The physical well -being was also taken care of: the Kanzacher Backfrauen spoiled the guests with traditional dennets. The local associations and the fire brigade contributed to the culinary diversity, and French drinks from the partnership association also found their place.
The event was not only a success for the exhibitors, but also for the community. Both halls were well attended throughout the exhibition, which Erich Reichert, who had organized the exhibition, took note of a satisfied smile. Mayor Klaus Schultheiß also praised the enormous commitment of everyone involved and emphasized that the event would not have been possible without this teamwork.
The atmospheric atmosphere and the variety of works presented made the exhibition not only an art event, but also a social meeting point where art and community came together in a beautiful way.
