Massive short-time work in the region: Liebherr-Werke are fighting for order flaut!

In the region around Ulm and Biberach, short -time work has increased dramatically - the number of employees concerned has more than quadrupled compared to the previous year! Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH in Kirchdorf is particularly affected, where a reduction in working hours was announced on November 1st and December 1st. The reason for this is the noticeable effects of a cooled economy that is reflected in a reduced order intake.

Marc Wiedenmann, marketing expert at Liebherr, confirmed the majority of the slope and made it clear: "A recovery of the generally cooled economy is currently not in sight, which leads to continuing subsequent utilization." Up to 1,000 employees in Biberach and 300 in Bad Schussenried are directly affected. In order to be able to react flexibly to the economic situation and to secure jobs in the long term, the short -time work was decided for six months.
