Fire brigade saves Bielefeld Clinic: oxygen bottleneck in need!

A dramatic emergency in the Mitte Clinic in Bielefeld! On Saturday, a pressure drop in the in-house oxygen supply center caused the highest alarm level. The Bielefeld fire brigade started with 150 forces and provided the facility with urgently needed oxygen reserves to ensure the safety of the patient. Fortunately, despite the critical incident, there were no patients.

The trigger? A defect that was discovered during maintenance and immediately a laying of up to 15 patients who rely on oxygen. At the same time, the emergency services sent stunned stocks from nearby oxygen works and surrounding hospitals to the location of the action. Support also came from the neighboring regions of Herford, Gütersloh, Lippe and Paderborn.
