Accident on A2: Collision between Caddy and truck - inmates slightly injured
traffic accident on the A2 causes a stir in Bielefeld
on the night of Wednesday there was a serious traffic accident on the A2, in which a VW Caddy opened a truck in the back. The inmates of the Caddy were slightly injured, while the truck driver was unharmed. The damage incurred amounts to around 17,500 euros.
The incident occurred when the 46-year-old driver of the Caddy tried to overtake a 7.5-ton truck. For reasons that have so far been unexplained, the small van collided with the rear of the truck, which caused the truck to build up the truck from the passenger side to the rear. Both vehicles were then no longer ready to drive and had to be towed.
Both the driver of the Caddy and his passenger, both Polish origin, suffered minor injuries. They were medical care on site and then taken to a local hospital. Fortunately, the truck driver, a 58-year-old man from Bielefeld, was unharmed.
The police in Bielefeld took over the investigation into the course of the accident. Questions from journalists can be addressed to the press and public relations work of the police headquarters. The exact reasons for the accident remain unclear for the time being, and further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collision.
This incident again illustrates the dangers in road traffic and the importance of always being careful and attentive at the wheel. It shows that even supposedly harmless situations can quickly lead to serious accidents that endanger human life and cause considerable damage to property.
