Dachauer Wasserturm, 85221 Dachau, Deutschland - On March 21, 2025, the Dachau district group of the Bund Naturschutz opens a new exhibition in the Dachau water tower, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the association. The vernissage begins at 6 p.m. and will last until 9 p.m. The exhibition is entitled "Nature and Moos Protection in Dachau Moos" and is divided into four main parts that will address visitors and those interested in nature alike. Admission is free.
The anniversary year begins with an extensive program that includes information about the local association and impressive photographs. The first floor offers a permanent exhibition that provides information about the history, groups and successes of the association. On the first and third floor, photographs by Paul Eschbach can be seen, which document the beauty of nature in the district. Furthermore, illustrated books of Eschbach are offered for sale that have been available since September 2024.

Paul Eschbach is not only a photographer, but also a passionate nature lover who has been working with nature photography for over 30 years. He began documenting the peat mining in Dachau Moos in 1986. Cooperation with the Dachau district group of the BUND Nature Conservation has existed for about two years, and the current exhibition is the result of this partnership. Visitors can look forward to exciting lectures on the fourth floor, which illuminate topics such as Niedermoor, moss and nature conservation in the district.
The exhibition lasts from March 21 to April 21, 2025 and is open on the weekends from Friday to Sunday. The organizers have set themselves the goal of focusing on both the aesthetics of nature and their in need of protection.
