It was the day of the decision! With a clear view of the route, which extends over 2125 kilometers to Greece, the brave cyclists ventured the first step into the pedals. Birkenfeld stood head when the group started her journey to raise awareness of her mission. Accompanied by the former passenger Axel Munsteiner and NZ reporter Johannes Geiß, the freshly formed team attracted everyone's attention.
revive the original route
The idea for the "Athens Revival Tour" comes from the crispy Pascal Geibel, who was active as a league football player two decades ago. "It is more than just a sporting challenge; it's about human life and hope," he explains enthusiastically. An important date that should not be forgotten! At that time, the fundraising campaign contributed to the support of the Stefan Morsch Foundation and the "Help us Life" campaign and helped many leukemia patients in the Birkenfeld district.
The exciting repeat campaign aims to sensitize even younger generations to this important thing and to pass on the memories of what has been achieved.
a group full of energy and enthusiasm
While the cyclists move through Germany and France, they are accompanied by the exciting stories of their first tour. "It is inspiring to see how much passion comes together here," says Axel Munsteiner, who has already been part of this incredible journey. He thinks of the challenges they mastered at the time and is determined to cope with the upcoming hurdles.
The anticipation is enormous, and the atmosphere literally crackles with energy, while the group is looking forward to the magical landscapes and the warm hospitality in the countries that cross it. "We won't just be the pedals, we will write history!" Calls Geibel and breaks the ice. An adventure for a good cause that is contagious!
