In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old man was arrested in Pfungstadt after having rioted in a Catholic church. On the night of Thursday (May 22nd), an attentive resident alerted the police due to noise on Bahnhofstrasse. The officials still met the suspect in the church, where he bumped into several sacred figures and other objects from the altar and thus caused considerable damage.

According to reports, the perpetrator also scattered ashes in front of the altar, which he spent as the ashes of a family member. The exact content of this ash and the amount of property damage is still unclear and require further investigations. The incident raises many questions and causes horror in the community.
