76-year-old discovered without a helmet and insurance on the small sky bike

Ehra-Lessien, Deutschland - Two officers from the Weyhausen police discovered several violations on Tuesday afternoon, while they were traveling on the ride on the Landesstraße 289. They noticed a small sky whose driver drove on the walking and bike path without a helmet. When trying to control the driver, his trace lost, but the police did not give up and searched the surroundings. Soon they found what they were looking for on an abandoned area in Ehra-Lessien.

There a 76-year-old man crouched behind a sand mountain, next to him was the uninsured petty bike. He had attached an insurance license plate from last year - and therefore no valid insurance coverage. It also turned out that the man was slightly alcoholized with a breath alcohol value of 0.17 per thousand. Now he has to face criminal proceedings for violating the compulsory insurance law and an administrative offense procedure because of the missing helmet.
