In a shocking incident in downtown Mannheim, a 19-year-old was physically attacked by a 28-year-old in the early morning darkness. Around 4:45 a.m., while she was traveling with three friends towards the main train station, the man who crossed her way suddenly got into rage. He suddenly attacked the young woman, choked her on her neck and put her to the ground, which required a rescue operation.

The Mannheim Ost city police station has started the investigation and the attacker must now be responsible for assault and resistance to enforcement officers. The incident leaves a clear feeling of uncertainty in the city.
