On Thursday evening, May 1, 2025, a spectacular traffic accident occurred in Delmenhorst! A 58-year-old man lost, while he wanted to turn right into Schönemoorer Straße from Stedinger Straße, control of his vehicle and crashed hard against a light sign. But the drama did not take a good turn - instead of stopping, the driver opened up and away and just left his damaged car back!

The police did not give up and quickly found the uninvited road user at his residential address. Even if he first tried to cover up his escape, he confessed to his journey. Now it is investigated against him because of the unauthorized removal of the scene of the accident and the endangerment of road traffic. The incident raises questions: How often is road traffic endangered by such ruthless decisions?
