Alcoholic man in Penzlin resistance: the police arrested aggressor
Resistance to the police: A problem with alcohol in focus
In a small town in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, an incident recently occurred that draws attention to the problem of alcohol abuse. A man in Penzlin was caught how he mobbed and harassed passers -by after consuming alcohol.
The police were alerted and found the 46-year-old German on the city's market square. His visibly alcoholized state indicated a drunk trip, whereupon a breath alcoholic test was planned. However, the man refused to test and instead showed an aggressive and uncooperative attitude towards the officials.
When the police decided to take blood sample, the man made active resistance. Despite the use of violence, the officials managed to take him into custody without anyone being injured.
This episode throws a light on the challenges that the police face every day when alcoholic people get into conflict. In addition to the obvious violations of the law such as insult, threat and drunkenness in traffic, the incident also shows the difficulties that alcohol -related aggression brings.
It remains to be hoped that a consistent punishment of such offenses and increased prevention work will raise awareness of the risks of alcohol consumption in order to avoid future incidents.
