On Monday night, a 51-year-old man was caught in Bremen-Horn-Lehe after a failed break-in. Together with an accomplice, he had broken a cigarette machine on Riemstrasse and had fled with stolen cigarettes. An attentive resident noticed the crime and immediately alerted the police.

Thanks to a quick search, the escape vehicle could be stopped at the driveway to the A27. The alleged perpetrator was alone in the car and was under the influence of alcohol. Dramatic: Before the control, he had thrown a bag full of cigarettes out of the window! When searching the vehicle, the officials found other cigarettes and burglary tools. The police are investigating the 51-year-old for burglary.
