Approach on A5: Motorhome Kracht in Suzuki - fire brigade in action!

On Friday morning there was a spectacular rear -end collision between a motorhome and a Suzuki on the BAB5 in the direction of Karlsruhe. The Weinheim volunteer fire brigade and the Hirschberg fire brigade were alerted at 11:15 a.m. after the accident in the construction site area near the exit to the "Fliegwiese" motorway parking lot happened. The fire brigade ensured fire protection, secured the accident vehicles and checked a gas bottle in the motorhome for possible damage.

Due to the expiring coolant, the site in the right lane was closed for the duration of the use, while traffic was led over the left lane. The arrival of the emergency services was difficult because it was difficult to form a rescue alley. The assignment was over after an hour. Information on the cause of the accident and damage to property is not yet available. Three vehicles and 16 firefighters were coming to control the situation.
