Car stolen in flames, valuables: alarming incidents in East Hesse!

On the night of May 8, a parked Seat Leon burned in Gersfeld and caused high property damage. A resident noticed the fire on the vehicle in Gichenbacher Strasse around 11:25 p.m. and alerted the fire brigade. This was able to successfully combat the flames and prevent attacks on the neighboring building, but a basement window was damaged. The cause of the fire is still unclear, but a technical defect could not be excluded. The damage caused by property amounts to a high five -digit amount.

A little later, in Hünfeld, unknown people used the dark hours to get access to a car dealership unjustifiably and captured the rims of three brand new Audi vehicles worth 15,000 euros. When trying to break down the rims on a fourth vehicle, they were disturbed and escaped undetected. The property damage caused is around 8,000 euros. In further incidents, a car and a grill mobile with spray paint were sprayed in Künzell, while in Petersberg and Eichenzell burglars hit the windows of cars and stole personal objects. The police ask for clues to the incidents.
